FLAME SAFE manufactures and markets proven, tested, superior and low cost fire retardants that meet or exceed existing and current federal, state and local fire safety code requirements, as well as industry standards. FLAME SAFE manufactures six (6) fire retardant chemicals - FIRE POLY, WOOD SAFE, SHINGLE SAFE, FABRIC SAFE, PAPER SAFE, and TREE SAFE. Derivatives of FLAME SAFE's chemicals can be formulated for specialized and specific uses. In addition, Fire Safety Products manufactures a fire safety device trademarked as FIREBUSTER™.

Flame Safe's FIRE POLY has been formulated and  developed specifically for the wood and wood products industry. FIRE POLY is a fire retardant coating that meets the ASTM E84 Standard as a Class A rating.  The ASTM E84 Class A rating is essentially the same as the UL 723 Type I and the NFPA 255 with a flame spread rating of less than 25. FIRE POLY is an aqueous based resin that is colorless and adds no appreciable weight.

Flame Safe's WOOD SAFE has been formulated and developed specifically for wood and wood products industry.  WOOD SAFE is a fire retardant coating that meets the ASTM E84 Standard as a Class B rating. The ASTM E84 Class B rating is essentially the same as the UL 723 Type II and the NFPA 255. WOOD SAFE has a flame spread rating of 35 which is less than the 75 required for a Class B rating. WOOD SAFE is an aqueous based resin that is colorless and adds no appreciable weight.

Flame Safe's SHINGLE SAFE has been tested by Southwest Research Institute and is classified as a Class C fire retardant coating that meets or exceeds the ASTM-E-108 S classification for wood shingle roofs.

Flame Safe's FABRIC SAFE has been tested by Southwest Research Institute and exceeds the FAR 25.853 A & B (ignition resistance of aircraft interior materials), the Boston, NFPA 701, New York-New Jersey Port Authority, and the Cal Tech 117-F requirements for extinguishing time, char length, drip-sec, and AFGL-sec.  In addition, FABRIC SAFE treated cotton exceeds the stringent standards set forth with Section 1237.1, Title 19 Public Safety Code Regulations from California.  Also, FABRIC SAFE has been tested and approved as a fire retardant for mattress ticking and padding under Federal Standard 16 CFR (FF4-72).  FABRIC SAFE is nontoxic, water soluble and odorless.  FABRIC SAFE can be applied using a roll coater, spraying or dipping.  FABRIC SAFE has been tested on all natural fabrics and fibers and most synthetic and synthetic blends.  FABRIC SAFE can significantly reduce the hazard of fire because of its ability to double or triple the flash point of most materials.

PAPER SAFE has been formulated and developed specifically for the corrugated packaging industry.  PAPER SAFE  exceeds the United States Navy's fire retardant standard ASTM-E-162 (flame spread), as well as standard ASTM-E-662 (smoke generation).  PAPER SAFE is an aqueous based resin that is colorless, odorless, nontoxic, and adds no appreciable weight.  The National fire Protection Association (NFPA)-30 Standard became effective September 1,1991, which requires that combustible liquids in plastic containers be packaged in some sort of noncombustible shipping container.  NFPA-30 is only concerned with the ability of the full assembly to pass the fire requirements of UL Procedure Subject 2019.  Flame Safe's PAPER SAFE as a component part will assist in the passing of the "Final Assembly Package Procedure"

TREE SAFE is a fire retardant used for indoor Christmas trees, in addition, TREE SAFE acts as a wood preservative, keeping the needles of the tree greener for a longer period of time.  TREE SAFE was developed and perfected specifically as a seasonal product (Christmas) and has passed the California Administrative Code, Title 19, Public Safety, Article 3, Section 1264.3, "Christmas Trees" fire safety code requirements.
